Helen Duquette
Helen Duquette has been a dedicated student of Yoga for more than 35 years. Her eclectic background in Yoga nurtures a respectful curiosity to the unfolding of every practice, opening the door for her students to explore and experience the same joy and delight that she has found on her path.
Helen creatively combines her knowledge and experiences with the traditional Kripalu and Iyengar methods with the more contemporary approach of Vanda Scaravelli, with whom Helen studied extensively. Knowledge gained in the United States, Canada and Europe provides a dynamic and exciting experience in Hatha Yoga practice. Helen's understanding of, and relationship to, the work is strengthened through her in-depth study of Syntonics and Authentic Movement. Her insight and experience has excited a broad range of students over the course of her practice, both in age and in ability. She has worked extensively with physically challenged individuals and provides ongoing support, direction and expertise to students and teachers interested in working in this area.
Helen has designed and taught teacher training programs for over 12 years providing a solid foundation for those interested in sharing their Yoga knowledge with others.
It is with the understanding that "our bodies are willing to change if invited to do so with an affectionate, affirmative approach" that provides the essential basis for this work. Helen brings this philosophy to every class and shares it with every student.
