  • Third Annual Holiday Pajama Drive

It’s that time of year again when we hunt for cozy pajama’s to give to the children in the care of the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton. This will be our third year of organizing and developing our Holiday Pajama Drive. We now have the additonal support of Grace Academy of Dance and Performing Arts as an additional drop-off site. We are anticipating that this year will surge beyond previous years so that we are able to reach out to more children who need our help. It started as a tradition at home. Every Christmas Eve, the children would be …

  • Yellow Finch Yoga

Today was grey. It was cool but humid. The kind of day where you decide not to bring an umbrella and it decides to pour on you, or you bring your umbrella and the rain never seems to arrive. Although the skies were an ashen grey, it was bright at the same time. While driving you needed your sunglasses but your windshield wipers remain on slow delay. A curious kind of day. So there he was with a bright yellow belly and a midnight black crown clinging on to the window screen. Gazing into the yoga studio, his form …

  • A Note From A Student…

Hi Robyn, I wanted to give you some feed back about the Friday Restorative Yoga class from last week. It was certainly very relaxing and what a wonderful way to end the week. Nicole was great – she definitely gave a great sense of support & nurturing and it was such a treat to have a blanket wrapped around you for warmth & comfort. A few of us were laughing as we arrived with our mats and our blankets (we felt like we were coming to a PJ party) – so there was a sense of fun too. Initially I …

We give because it feels good. We give so that we can honour those in our lives who we cherish, appreciate and love the most.
