Sunday Night Pause…a small stillness sent once per week

You know the feeling…

The sun starts to dip, the light changes, and something in you shifts with it. Maybe it's the ache of a weekend ending. Maybe it's the quiet of a house that's a little too quiet. Maybe it's just Monday, coming whether you're ready or not.

Sunday Night Pause was built for that exact hour — whatever fills it for you.

Why I send it…

I've spent thirty years teaching people how to slow down, and the hardest hour to slow down in is almost always the one right before a new week begins.

Sunday evenings used to undo me too — that quiet, creeping unease that has nothing to do with anything in particular. It shows up whether your week ahead is full of meetings or wide open. I started writing this pause for myself first. Then for my students — the ones raising families, and the ones long past that season, still looking for a steady place to land on a Sunday night. Now, for anyone who needs it.

How it helps…

A few minutes on a Sunday evening can change how the whole week lands.

It's a small thing... a short practice, a few slow breaths, a moment to let the day settle before your head hits the pillow. But it tends to soften the noise that keeps so many of us tossing on Sunday nights, and it makes Monday feel less like a jolt and more like a continuation.

Some weeks it's sleep. Some weeks it's just knowing you have one steady place to land, no matter what the week ahead holds.
